Factors and Discounters

Harrisons' ('the Practice') - A brief History

  • The Practice was formed in 1994 in Reading as a boutique insolvency firm specialising in larger, more complex insolvency assignments for a number of foreign owned banks.
  • A truly independent, privately owned Practice, based on current statistics, ranked in the top 20 in the country in terms of volume of corporate insolvency assignments.
  • A strong personal insolvency department with particular emphasis on managing the affairs of high net worth individuals and more complex bankruptcy work.
  •  Five licence holders and Partners whose backgrounds extend to BDO Stoy Hayward, Ernst and Young and Kingston Smith.
  • In addition to the Partners, a fully qualified in–house Insolvency Solicitor and Insolvency Practitioner.
  • The Practice currently operates from seven offices and two associate offices, providing genuine national coverage and the ability to service large and more complex insolvency assignments to include those of a multi-site nature.
  • Existing relationships with both Bank and independent Factors & Discounters with whom we work very closely to protect their interests and ensure the best return possible.
  • Regionally based offices working closely with local Account Managers to make introductions to a number of our key contacts/introducers in the local area to provide a wider scope for generating sales opportunities.
