At Harrisons we believe firmly in the advantages of specialism and view business recovery and insolvency as a discipline in its own right. This is why we focus exclusively on business recovery and insolvency as insolvency specialists and have not, unlike many firms, introduced general practice services. As well as offering a free business review to those in financial difficulty, we also provide non threatening recovery and insolvency specialists support to all stakeholders, financial institutions, professional advisors and their clients, directors and not forgetting the general public.
During what is inevitably a difficult period, we remain conscious at all times of the potential impact of our business recovery and insolvency specialists advice on the relationship between the client and his financier and advisor and endeavour to secure, through our professional and sympathetic approach, the best possible outcome for all.
In circumstances where we are instructed directly by financial intitutions, rest assured, we will take all necessary measures to protect their interests. Please refer to the other services section of this website for further information on 'The Harrisons Pledge' a unique cost free insolvency and recovery solution for all financial institutions such as Banks, Factors and Discounters and Asset Based Lenders.
Do not be fooled by the youthfulness of the Harrisons’ team as every member is highly experienced in business recovery and insolvency. We are highly flexible and tackle every case with an open mind and not a predetermined plan of action. Our initial objective always remains recovery and survival of the business.
Historically our focus has predominantly been on the SME and owner managed business market and although, this continues to remain our core strength, due to the consistent year on year growth of the Practice and our increasing office locations offering genuine national coverage and employing in excess of 30 staff, we have managed to develop strong relationships with Banks, Building Societies, Factors and Discounters and other Asset Based Lenders. This has resulted in the Practice increasingly being called in to provide advice for and in respect of larger businesses with turnover ranging between £10 and £20 million.
Although the majority of our work relates to businesses and trading entities, we do not forget that private individuals also experience financial difficulty and frequently advise on personal debt problems and the recovery solutions available. Indeed we are a preferred source of support to the Citizens Advice Bureau network providing sympathetic and constructive advice to their clients.
With an aptitude for thinking outside the box, we pride ourselves on being able to identify innovative recovery solutions to financial problems. We utilise procedures contained within insolvency specialists legislation that other more traditional insolvency practitioners may consider but discount, and also if appropriate, informal arrangements.
Inevitably however, there will be situations beyond rescue or recovery, and in these circumstances we act both quickly and sympathetically helping directors through the closure process whilst ensuring they remain fully appraised of any personal implications.
As the firm has grown we have invested in the latest technology to streamline our processes. It is this combination of experience and efficiency that we believe enables us to offer a first class service.
Harrisons have offices in London, Reading, Manchester, Bristol, Hereford, Worcester, Derby and Swansea.
